FEBRUARY 26/MARCH 1 - 16 DAYS

Objectives:
This challenge has each high school team creating an edutainment game for grade level 7th or 8th.
  • The game must help to teach subject matter that is specific to the grade selected.
  • The game should engage students in Math, Language, or Science.
  • The game should be appropriate to the target audience.
  • The game must have a storyline and the play should support the theme of the game.
  • The game must have the player progress to a second level of play.
  • A description of 2 additional levels should be included in the documentation for the game.
Homework:
  • If you are going to finish on time, Graphic work i.e...Splash Screens, Level Screens, CD Covers, Posters....
  • There is not enough time in class to complete everything.
  • Use Google Docs/Blender.....find sites of Open Source or download 30 day trials of Photoshop/CorelDraw.....

Within the 1st hour of class you need to:
  • Drag your exe file to the desktop
  • Drag your PowerPoint to the desktop - Save with your Name and as a PowerPoint Show....if you are unsure, ask early......
  • Turn in your Internship Report
  • Turn in your Daily Logs
  • Turn in your Quality Control Form
  • Turn in you Code Changes
  • Turn in Flash Drives
Last 20 minutes of class:
  • Peer Quality Control Form
If games and PowerPoints not on the desktop, they will not be evaluated or scheduled for presenations on Wednesday-Monday.....it is your responsibility to take care of all of the above items today.
